Character Application

Once you've read through Before You Begin and are ready to create your Tamer, you're ready to submit your application.
Your application establishes who your character is at the beginning of their journey. All characters begin on equal footing, without learned skills, professions, weapons training, survival expertise, or other mechanical advantages. These will be earned through gameplay.

Creating Your Character

Your application will cover four basic areas:

Basic Information
Your character's name, age, gender, pronouns, and chosen starter clan.

Appearance
Your character's physical features, clothing, adornments, and other distinguishing characteristics. Remember that character designs must fit the primitive setting and face claims are not permitted.

Personality
Who your character is as a person, including their temperament, motivations, strengths, flaws, fears, and other defining traits.

History
Your character's family, relationships, upbringing, and experiences prior to the beginning of their journey.
A character's history may shape their personality, beliefs, relationships, and knowledge of their own people and culture. It may not be used to give them starting skills, professions, weapon proficiency, survival expertise, or other gameplay advantages.

Submitting Your Application
Copy the Application Template provided below and create a new thread in The Naming Grounds.
Use your character's full name as the thread title and complete all required fields.
Once your application has been submitted:

1. Staff will generate five eligible starter Pokémon from your chosen clan's starter pool.
   
2. You will choose one of the five Pokémon.
   
3. Staff will complete the review of your application.
   
4. Any necessary changes or clarifications will be requested.
   
5. Once accepted, an official character profile will be created in The Living Records.
   
6. Your character may then begin their starter trials.
   

Please do not begin roleplaying with your character until their application has been approved.
