I. GETTING STARTED
01. CHARACTER APPROVAL
• All characters must have an approved Character Application before entering the roleplay.
• Once approved, the appropriate Living Records will be established to track the character, their Pokémon, inventory, skills, and progression.
02. YOUR STARTING VILLAGE• Once approved, the appropriate Living Records will be established to track the character, their Pokémon, inventory, skills, and progression.
• New characters begin within the village of their chosen clan.
• Characters begin with only the knowledge, possessions, skills, and resources provided through character creation and the site's starting systems.
03. THE TRIALS• Characters begin with only the knowledge, possessions, skills, and resources provided through character creation and the site's starting systems.
• Before leaving their village to begin their independent journey, new tamers must complete the village trials.

• Once the trials are completed, the character is free to leave their village and begin exploring the Wilds.

II. ROLEPLAY THREADS
01. ONE ACTIVE THREAD
• Each character may participate in only one active roleplay thread at a time.
• A character's current thread must be completed, closed, or otherwise resolved before that character may begin or join another roleplay thread.
• This keeps the character's location, Pokémon, inventory, injuries, and progression in a clear chronological order.
02. SPECIAL EVENTS• A character's current thread must be completed, closed, or otherwise resolved before that character may begin or join another roleplay thread.
• This keeps the character's location, Pokémon, inventory, injuries, and progression in a clear chronological order.
• Staff-designated special events may be exempt from the one-thread rule.
• When an event may be played alongside a normal roleplay thread, this will be clearly stated within the event rules.
03. SOLO & GROUP ROLEPLAY• When an event may be played alongside a normal roleplay thread, this will be clearly stated within the event rules.

• A completed thread should be fully resolved before the character begins their next adventure.
• A completed thread should be fully resolved before the character begins their next adventure.
III. MODERATION
01. FREE ROLEPLAY
• Not every roleplay requires staff involvement.
• Conversations, character development, social interactions, and other scenes that do not generate resources, progression, encounters, or uncertain game outcomes may generally be handled by the participating players.
• Players may describe ordinary details of their surroundings so long as doing so does not provide an unfair advantage or contradict established information about the location.
02. MODERATED ROLEPLAY• Conversations, character development, social interactions, and other scenes that do not generate resources, progression, encounters, or uncertain game outcomes may generally be handled by the participating players.
• Players may describe ordinary details of their surroundings so long as doing so does not provide an unfair advantage or contradict established information about the location.
• Staff moderation is required when an action involves an encounter, reward, resource, progression, or other outcome determined by one of the site's gameplay systems.
• Players may attempt actions freely, but should not determine their own rewards, encounters, or the success of actions requiring moderation.
• The individual system guides will explain when and how moderation is required.
03. OUTCOMES & CONSEQUENCES• Players may attempt actions freely, but should not determine their own rewards, encounters, or the success of actions requiring moderation.
• The individual system guides will explain when and how moderation is required.
• Actions have consequences. Success is not guaranteed simply because a character attempts something.
• Moderators may take the character's actions, Pokémon, skills, equipment, environment, injuries, preparation, and other relevant circumstances into consideration when determining an outcome.
• Failure and unexpected consequences are part of the roleplay and should be incorporated into the character's continuing story.

• Distance, terrain, supplies, weather, available transportation, and other circumstances should be reasonably acknowledged while traveling.
02. LOCATION MATTERS• Distance, terrain, supplies, weather, available transportation, and other circumstances should be reasonably acknowledged while traveling.
• Pokémon, plants, animals, resources, hazards, and other encounters are influenced by the character's current location.
• Location and biome guides establish what can reasonably be found within an area.
03. EXPLORATION• Location and biome guides establish what can reasonably be found within an area.
• Characters do not automatically know everything about the world around them.
• New locations, resources, Pokémon behavior, survival knowledge, and other information may be discovered through exploration, experience, village knowledge, or interaction with other characters.
04. THE WILDS ARE DANGEROUS• New locations, resources, Pokémon behavior, survival knowledge, and other information may be discovered through exploration, experience, village knowledge, or interaction with other characters.
• Traveling beyond the safety of settlements carries genuine risk.
• Weather, terrain, wild Pokémon, predators, injuries, illness, exhaustion, and lack of supplies can all affect a journey.
• Preparation and good decisions can make survival easier, but they cannot remove every risk.

VI. SURVIVAL
01. SURVIVAL MATTERS
• Calpheon Wilds is a primitive survival setting. Food, water, shelter, fire, equipment, weather, injuries, and the surrounding environment are meaningful parts of the roleplay.
• Characters should respond reasonably to their circumstances rather than behaving as though their survival needs do not exist.
02. USE WHAT YOU HAVE• Characters should respond reasonably to their circumstances rather than behaving as though their survival needs do not exist.
• Characters may only rely upon Pokémon, equipment, supplies, knowledge, and other resources that they actually possess or can reasonably access.
• Items and resources should not conveniently appear simply because they would solve the current problem.
03. CREATIVE SOLUTIONS• Items and resources should not conveniently appear simply because they would solve the current problem.
• Players are encouraged to interact creatively with their surroundings and make use of their Pokémon, equipment, skills, and available natural resources.
• Creative solutions are encouraged, but they do not automatically guarantee success.
04. FAILURE IS PART OF THE JOURNEY• Creative solutions are encouraged, but they do not automatically guarantee success.
• Not every hunt will succeed. Not every Pokémon will be captured. Not every resource will be found, and not every plan will work.
• Failure, injury, loss, and unexpected circumstances are part of Calpheon Wilds and can create new opportunities for character development and roleplay.

• Players should clearly indicate when their thread is finished and ready for any required final moderation.
02. FINAL OUTCOMES• Players should clearly indicate when their thread is finished and ready for any required final moderation.
• Any progression, resources, Pokémon, injuries, deaths, items, or other lasting outcomes must be confirmed before the thread is considered fully resolved.
• Confirmed changes should be reflected within the character's Living Records as required.
03. YOUR NEXT ADVENTURE• Confirmed changes should be reflected within the character's Living Records as required.
• Once the current thread has been completed or formally closed, the character may begin or join another roleplay thread.

REMEMBER
Calpheon Wilds is about the journey, not reaching the end as quickly as possible.
Explore. Learn. Survive.
Build relationships with your Pokémon and the people you meet along the way.
Every thread becomes another chapter in your character's story.
